Door to door service

I was on my way home from class and went through my usual bus routine. I pulled the string immediately after the doors closed at the stop before mine to give the bus driver PLENTY of time to prepare to stop. He stopped, I never doubted that he would, and I said my usual thank-you's and he left me with a "goodbye gorgeous!" Flattered, of course, and I could not help but laugh a little. I began my walk towards 45th and out of my peripheral vision I noticed the bus stop again next to me. Then I heard the honk, so I gave my full attention to the bus. The doors swung open and the driver said to me "I don't want you to have to walk! Let me take you to your house!" I assured him that walking was good for me, but I soon found that I was not going to win this battle. I re-boarded the bus. I can't imagine what the other passengers must have been thinking as the bus driver dropped me off- my second unmapped stop of the day!
